Becky moved into Bishopbridge House for her second stay in 2015. During this stay we all noticed a change in her presentation, Becky was positive, motivated, engaged with support and was clearly determined to break the cycle of homelessness that she was in.
For Becky, her priority was to keep busy and she was keen to make a positive contribution by volunteering, in order to do this Becky became involved in a number of organisations to assist her in developing skills. Becky worked with the LEAP service and attended training with the YMCA’s My Place programme. Becky is now waiting to start training as a volunteer with probation on their Open Road scheme.
In addition to this, Becky continues to work with staff on the Reality Check presentation and has undertaken training to be a resident representative at Bishopbridge House running Welcome Meetings and Residents Meetings.
