St Martins have partnered with ROARR! to host an exciting and adrenaline filled event – the St Martins Firewalk! Prepare to face your fears and walk over hot coals to help raise money for those experiencing homelessness in Norwich.

Firewalking is the act of walking barefoot over a bed of hot embers or stones.

Its an empowering experience that, when done correctly, shouldn’t cause any pain.

Your feet won’t get hurt if your firewalk is done correctly.

There will be a training session before the firewalk where you will learn how to firewalk. This is done by trained professionals who have been doing this for 20 years, so you will be in good hands!

All participants must be over 12 years of age.

All participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian, and will require a parent/guardian to sign the waiver form.

  • The registration cost is £30 per person. This reserves your place at this events & helps us cover our costs enabling your fundraising to go to where it is needed most in our services.
  • We ask each person taking part to raise a minimum of £100 sponsorship – the easiest way to do this is through JustGiving with an online fundraising page. See our JustGiving section for more details on how to set this up.
  • If you would like to bring your family and friends along with you, please make sure they book a spectator ticket. These can be bought via the ROARR! website.

 

Yes, your family & friends are more than welcome to come along.

The park will be closed to the general public, but you can bring along as many people as you like who can purchase some hot food from Dippy’s Pizza and Fries, and spend some time in the play park! The indoor soft play area & outdoor trails will not be open.

There is a small fee of £3 per person which must be booked in advance from the Roarr! website. This will give you a QR code that you will need to access the park on the night. Click here to book your spectator tickets.

We ask each participant to raise a minimum of £100 in sponsorship to help us help people experiencing homelesness in Norwich.

To set up your JustGiving page, you need to do the following:

  • Visit https://www.justgiving.com/
  • Click the button on the top bar that says ‘Start Fundraising’ and choose the option that says you are fundraising for a charity
  • Choose St Martins from the list of charities
  • You will be given the option to link your page with the Firewalk event, or choose to create your own page.
  • If you choose to make your own page, make sure you personalise your page by adding photos & explaining why you are passionate about fundraising for St Martins. This will boost your engagements and potential donations.
