The Magdalen Road Project provides support to people who are ready to move on from residential placements and hospital stays. We support people who have multiple needs, which may include those who have had exclusions and complex needs. We have one on-site senior support worker who provides support and house management and each resident is allocated a support worker.
People are referred to Magdalen Road from other areas of St Martins and also from external agencies.
To be eligible, a person must:
- Have an external care co-ordinator, social worker or community psychiatric nurse
- Be between 18 – 65 years of age
The Magdalen Road Project comprises six self contained living units plus four en-suite bedrooms with shared kitchen facilities. There is a shared laundry and a communal garden. It is a housing solution for a vulnerable client group – those that have a diagnosed mental health problem and have found it hard to live in other accommodation options.
