St Martins Fest 2024

Ready for some summer fun?

St Martins is holding a free summer music event at the bandstand at Eaton Park on Saturday 22nd June. The family-friendly event is free of charge and will feature local bands Sons of Mark, Reuben Josh and Co, Barny Holmes and Archie & Kayleigh. Musicians from St Martins very own band will also take to the stage.

The event will run from 12 noon – 5pm and there will be refreshments, including a bar and BBQ plus children’s activities, stalls and games.

All funds will go towards supporting people experiencing homelessness and will help the charity provide more accommodation and support.

This includes new accommodation projects, such as St Martins House which opened in December 2023, funding learning and development sessions to help individuals develop new skills, or smaller things like bedding packs for people in our services.

The line up:

All local bands, many of them young and up-and-coming. The music from local bands will be a range of styles, from feel-good covers to original indie-pop tracks.

  • Barny Holmes 12:00pm
  • Archie & Kayleigh 13:15pm
  • St Martins Band 14:15pm
  • Sons of Mark 15:00pm
  • Reuben, Josh & Co 16:00pm

The festival will also feature Bike Day run by Eaton Park Community Cycling Club – 3pm to 5pm
Come and try out tandems and cargo bikes or have a go at cycle speedway on Eaton Park’s very own cycle speedway track. Plus bike security marking with Norfolk Police and bring your bike for a once over and simple fixes with Dr Bike.

Why support St Martins Fest?

  • Homelessness happens all year round. Usually, our fundraising efforts happen in the winter, but homelessness is not a seasonal thing; St Martins supports people all year round, and people need our services more than ever. Our December street collection is a well-established fixture in the city. We wanted to do something in the Summer that the community can enjoy and keeps St Martins at the forefront of people’s minds. We hope this is an event we can grow year-on-year.
  • St Martins is a local charity, so we are showcasing local bands, including The St Martins Band – the band members are people we support.
  • Fundraising is vital to us. All funds raised at the event will go towards providing more accommodation for people experiencing homelessness. Budgets are tight for St Martins, as they are for everybody, which is why we have kept the event free of charge, and hope to collect plenty of donations on the day. Costs have increased for us too, so it is vital that we hold fundraising events like St Martins fest so we can continue to provide housing and support to people who have lost their homes.
