Local boxer and student Ezra Arenyeka has set himself the challenge of running 10 miles every day for ten days to raise money for St Martins. While in lockdown, he has appreciated the fact that he is with his family and has food to eat and a bed to sleep in. He said, “There are people out there who do not have this privilege. In times like this, the homeless are very vulnerable and are in desperate need of our help.”
Ezra’s support for St Martins started many months ago when he got in touch to ask if he could get involved by raising money for St Martins through his boxing fights.
Ezra led some ‘boxing for self improvement’ sessions for our clients at our Dibden Road hostel on Friday nights. He has his sights set on becoming a future world champion and this great attitude is a real inspiration to the people we support. His energy and motivation has not been dampened by the coronavirus pandemic. He said, “This is an opportunity for me and you to make a difference, every donation matters to make a positive impact on someone’s life.”
Ezra started his runs on the 14th of April and finished on April 23rd. He has set a target of £1,500 https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/ezra10for10
