St Martins is one of the top charities to work for

We are delighted to have retained our two-star Outstanding rating in the Best Companies survey, a listing of the very best organisations across all sectors locally, regionally and nationally.

The awards use a multi-step model to determine its annual scores and accreditations as part of a rigorous process that includes a team-wide survey and analysis on subjects including Wellbeing, Giving Something Back, Leadership, Personal Growth and The Future of The Workplace.

Our mission is to support people experiencing homelessness, and our goal is that nobody sleeps on the streets in Norwich. A way of achieving that is to be an employer of choice; we have a 200-strong team of dedicated professionals who are committed to achieving our mission.

Announced on May 19, St Martins was crowned the 5th Best Company to work for in the UK in the Charity category, which featured the very best organisations across all sectors locally, regionally and nationally. In addition, we achieved position 17 in the East of England sector and 18th in the Best Mid-Sized category.

Chief Executive Dr Jan Sheldon said, “We are delighted with St Martins’ placings on the Best Companies lists, especially given that there are so many fantastic and highly respected charities also featured. Our team is amazing and always go the extra mile to provide consistent support to those who live in our residences and use our services. The work can be challenging and requires resilience and compassion every day.  The results highlighted that the team feels proud to work for St Martins – and I couldn’t be prouder of the team.”

For the fourth year running St Martins has achieved an outstanding two star rating in the Best Companies scheme. St Martins pride themselves on offering a positive workplace culture that gives team members a sense of fulfilment and motivation. Feedback from the Best Companies process enables the leadership to listen to how team members feel and address any areas of concern.
