A traditional festival brings us together
We brought a little bit of Mexico to Highwater House by celebrating The Day of the Dead. Residents enjoyed the games and food – it was a chance to bring us together. Talk turned to family, our pasts and futures.

Falling through the gaps
Some people are so vulnerable that they are not even on the radar of the services that can help them. There are people who live on the very margins of society who are so isolated that they have no network of support, no-one to look out for them or to notice their poor quality of life.

New homelessness hub approved
Our service to provide emergency accommodation and support for rough sleepers in Norwich has received planning permission from Norwich City Council.

The Knitted House has been built!
With the help of hundreds of people, we have constructed a woollen house that provides a visual representation of the scale of homelessness in England. The house is currently on display in Norwich Cathedral until October 27.

Helen and Sophie's three peaks challenge
Helen and Sophie work for St Martins, based at our hostel on Dibden Road. They undertook an extreme challenge in September of attempting the Three Peaks Challenge in just 24 hours.

Book on homelessness by Norwich author to raise funds for St Martins
Local author Robert Ashton has spent three months this summer meeting people with first-hand experience of rough sleeping. Robert has written up these interviews into a book which gives insight into the causes and consequences of rough sleeping and homelessness.

Outdoor gym installed at hostel
Residents at our hostel on Dibden Road are making good use of a newly installed outdoor gym, thanks to the generosity of the family of Neil Davis.
