In our work with homeless people we are used to hearing stories of individual trauma and adversity. However, during a pandemic, the story is not just happening to someone else, it’s happening to everyone. Head of Residential Care Iain Boag writes about St Martins' trauma-informed approach and how we can build resilience as we change and adapt to the 'new normal'.

A new partnership project has been launched aimed at preventing homelessness among ex-offenders and reducing the likelihood they will return to criminal behaviour.

St Martins is backing the Crisis campaign ‘Home for All’ to take action to ensure everybody has a secure, permanent home.

St Martins were awarded £10,000 funding from Norfolk Community Foundation through the Covid-19 Local Resilience Fund to support homeless people during the outbreak.

When the crisis is over and social distancing rules are relaxed what will happen to those people who have started to take baby steps on their road to recovery and a better life?When hotels want their rooms back and people return to a new version of normality will the people in those rooms be dispatched to the streets again?
